As we have noted, this politicization is not confined to the production of monographs. Who and what were excluded? There is no debate on organizational aesthetics, for example, or on sexuality and organizations, or on humor – all things we find fascinating. It is apparent that we were operating with some notion of what was more central and what more peripheral to the field, and also with some notion of what was contested and what was not. We were also, presumably, led to our selections in part by reflections of appeal and marketability.
